A stellar constellation of Swedish and international artists will honour the Polar Music Prize Laureates at the 2019 Polar Music Prize ceremony on June 11. The prize ceremony takes place at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm and will be broadcast live on TV4 Play.

The citations will be read by DJ Maseo from De La Soul, Polar Music Prize Laureate of 2018 Dr Ahmad Sarmast, and Frank Briegmann, CEO at the iconic Deutsche Grammophon label.

A spectacular line-up of artists and musicians will celebrate the Laureates at the banquet: Mapei, Danny Saucedo, Adam ”ADL” Baptiste, Esther Kirabo, Stran, DJ Eka Scratch, Migdal Strings, Cherrie & Jelassi, Cecilia Zilliacusand students from Lilla Akademien. Choreographer Ambra Succi together with Damon Frost and DJ Chezawill also bring 25 dancers, The Extended Family,to Grand Hôtel’s Vinterträdgården for a stunning performance especially created for this occasion.

Mezzo-soprano and journalist Boel Adlerwill be our host for the evening, and the conductor of the Polar Music Prize band is Svante Henryson.
