Stellar line-up at the 25th Polar Music Prize ceremony

The gala award ceremony, on June 16, takes place at The Stockholm Concert Hall where the 2016 Laureates Max Martin and Cecilia Bartoli will be presented with The Polar Music Prize by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.

The citations will be read by Howard Dorough, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson from Backstreet Boys and by the Swedish Minister for Culture and Democracy, Alice Bah Kunke. Both the ceremony and the following banquet will present exclusive live performances by great Swedish artists and musicians.

An impressive line-up of Swedish artists performing at the 25th Polar Music Prize honouring 2016 Laureates Max Martin and Cecilia Bartoli, has been announced today. The celebrated artists are: Peter Jöback, Seinabo Sey, Amanda Bergman, Kerstin Avemo, Ann Hallenberg, Lena Willemark and folk music group Väsen together with The Royal Stockholm Philarmonic Orchestra led by maestro Hans EkStefan Forsberg, Executive and Artistic Director of the Stockholm Concert Hall, hosts the ceremony.

The glittering banquet, following the ceremony, is held at the Grand Hôtel where the music tributes to Max Martin and Cecilia Bartoli will continue. Performing at the banquet, hosted by Master of ceremonies Timbuktu (Jason Diakité), are the band Damn!, Kim Cesarion, Sabina Ddumba, Jamie Cullum, Frida Johansson, Carl Ackerfeldt, Henrik Måwe, Ebbot Lundberg and Kristin Amparo.
