The Polar Music Prize is awarded for international recognition of excellence in the world of music.

On February 10, the Polar Music Prize board will announce the Laureates of 2016, live from the Stockholm City Hall. The announcement, citations and official press release will be available on our website.

On June 16, the 25th Polar Music Prize ceremony, the Laureates will receive the Polar Music Prize from the hands of H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf at the Stockholm Concert Hall. The banquet at the Grand Hôtel will be broadcast live on TV4.

Welcome to Polar Talks
If you are based in Stockholm you are very welcome to our Polar Talks on February 10th where we will have an initiated conversation about this year’s Laureates with Swedish and international music profiles, led by music journalist and entrepreneur Claes Olson.
